Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Lead and administer the collection of warranty dollars that are due from agreed upon contracts. Provide day-to-day oversight to assigned areas within warranty.

  • Oversee assigned warranty departments ensuring appropriately staffed, operating within budget constraints and work performed meet organizational requirements.
  • Ensure assigned employees have career development plans that provide the organization with strong bench strength for future leaders and specialized individual contributors.
  • Manage daily warranty coverage determination for repairs at all terminal maintenance locations.
  • Maintain warranty systems, extended warranty files, parts inventories, and ensure claim ages meet company guidelines.
  • Oversee the return parts process from collection to disposal.
  • Maintain accurate accounts receivable from OEMs and provide monthly/quarterly accrual data.
  • Partner with internal parts departments to ensure quick sourcing and availability of needed parts.
  • Communicate with OEMs and suppliers on specific failures to expedite parts and achieve timely, cost���efficient responses.
  • Ensure accuracy of repair orders, monitor product failure trends, and provide corrective recommendations to leadership.
  • Implement new processes, ensure adherence to company policies/regulations, and train staff accordingly.
  • Provide continuous feedback to leadership on high failure rates and vendor responsiveness.
  • Monitor shop compliance and support corrective action execution.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 5+ years' experience in heavy equipment repair required.
  • 2+ years' experience in warranty required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and able to provide solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of mechanical/technical repair procedures with understanding of mechanical/technical diagnostics.
  • Must have proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Must have proven ability to influence others.
  • Must be excellent communicator capable of tailoring messages to audiences of all levels.
  • Bachelors in business or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
